Persian Wars
Persian empire vs Greece. The Greek army had iron weapons, trained soldiers, they were armed, they used phalanx, they had the home field advantage, and were motivated to preserve democracy. The Persian army first had archers, then calvary (disrupt communication between generals and soldiers), they had a lightly armored infantry so they were fast, they came in huge numbers, and had a professional army. Philosopherlapalooza also known as Socrates looked into science and logic for explanations on how the world worked. He created the Socratic Method. He was charged with 2 serious crimes: impiety, disrespecting the Gods; and corrupting the youth of Athens. He didn't deny what he did, he actually asked for dinners. He was killed by drinking poison hemlock.
